Facilities

BBQs

Available at no charge at the amenities block and Pacific Court. No char grill/open flame BBQ’s allowed. Any gas stoves and BBQ’s must be safe and in good condition with current certification on all gas bottles.

Laundry

Washing machines and dryers are coin-operated and cost $4 to use. Laundry powder can be purchased from the office for $1. Linen may be hired, but must be pre-arranged.

Dump Station

For all grey water and waste.

Parking

Motels – Check with reception for number of spaces. Camp sites – 1 car per site. Summer guests -special area for boats and trailers (No Boats or trailers on camp sites). Visitors – No visitor parking on site – All visitors to register at reception for health and safety and evacuation purposes.

Communal Bathrooms

Including toilets, sinks, and hand dryers. Showers are free to use, but hot water is set on a six minute timer to ensure everyone gets their turn.

Games Room

Includes a TV, couches, coin-operated air hockey and 2 x table tennis tables and arcade machines.

Wireless Internet

Available throughout most of Pacific Park and can be purchased from the office during office hours, or online. 5 GB Complimentary for each guest at check-in. 5 GB additional ($5).

Cots and Highchairs

Available on request on a first-in first-served basis. Cost is $5.

Conference Facilities

Pacific Court Conference Centre is a versatile venue accommodating up to 80 guests in theater-style seating, expandable to 100 by opening concertina doors into the dining area. A fully-equipped commercial kitchen is available to cater for up to 80 attendees. Advanced booking required.

Communal Kitchen

Including stove tops, ovens, microwaves, fridges, freezers, kettles and toasters. Please clearly label all food stored in the fridges or freezers with your name and date of departure. Food safety and fridge presentation dictates the disposal of aged and unlabeled foodstuffs.

Outdoor Fire

Enjoy our Flare Outdoor Fire year round, weather permitting. Check in at the office for times and purchase marshmallow roasting kits for that authentic camping experience! Wood always available and ready to go.

Cinema

Our Park Cinema is the real deal. 26 theatre seats in a tiered configuration with amazing surround sound and 3.5M screen. Free movies all summer long and available for group hire the rest of the year. Also makes a great meeting space groups. Air-conditioned for the most comfortable experience at camp!

Onsite Activities

Hot Pool

The hot pool is open 5pm-9pm. Please be considerate of other holiday-makers and keep the noise to a minimum. Parental supervision is required for all children; we do not provide lifeguards. Parental supervision is a must for this activity.

Table Tennis (in the games room)

Hire a table tennis ball and a set of two bats from the office for $10 ($5 refunded on return).

Nine-Hole Mini Golf

Hire golf balls from the office and play as many times as you like.

Volleyball

BYO volleyball or hire one from the office for $10 ($5 refunded on return).

Air hockey (in the games room)

$2 per game.

Jumping Pillow

During daylight hours only. Maximum one child at a time; restricted to 12 years and under. Parental supervision is a must for this activity.

Playground

Daylight hours only. Parental supervision is a must for this activity.

Bicycles

Are permitted around the site, but consideration for other guests a must. No racing or skidding on gravel roads. Parental supervision is a must for this activity.

Local Activities

For the Foodies

Papamoa and the wider Tauranga area offers loads of food options, including cafes, bakeries, bars, restaurants, fast food outlets and supermarkets. The roads are easy to navigate and parking is easy to find, however if you’d prefer to leave the car behind Tauranga’s public transport system connects Papamoa with Tauranga and Mount Maunganui every half-hour by bus; check out the timetable here.

For the Shoppers

If you’re after a spot of retail therapy, head to Mount Main Street, Downtown Tauranga, or Bayfair Shopping Centre.

For the Adrenaline Seekers

For adventure and a high-adrenalin experience you’ll remember forever, give Waimarino Adventure Park’s giant inflatable waterslides, the land sailing machines at Blokart or Adrenaline Forest’s high-wire ropes course a go.
